My Story
My personal journey of discovery proves that God can take an introverted, science nerd and reveal, develop, and release his hidden potential. My adventure began over 35 years ago…
I found my Messiah during the early years of my career as a professor at UCLA. My wife and I both had supernatural experiences that convinced us that the God of the Bible was real, and desired a relationship with us. From the beginning, Jesus has been the center of my life. He has taught me, sustained me, and guided me through life’s joys and challenges. During my 22 years at UCLA, I grew in the Lord and served diligently in our local church. Over those years God’s tugging at my heart increased; my life goals were being transformed. This led to the biggest change in my life story, when I left a successful career in academia for full-time vocational Christian ministry–and a whole new life of adventure in Jesus! This second career has expanded from being a local church pastor to leading Kingdom Partners, a teaching, equipping, and coaching/mentoring ministry to churches, pastors, leaders, and individuals–to everyone who has a heart to live God’s Kingdom life! The skills and experiences I gained at UCLA through my interactions with students and colleagues, and through teaching, research, and leadership are now coupled with my experiences of Christian life and ministry to help grow God’s people and His Kingdom.

My Bio
Hearing more of my story will help you better understand me and my passions.
I have a Ph.D. in Biology and was a Professor of Neurophysiology in the Medical School at UCLA for 22 years. After meeting the Lord in 1977, I began to seriously study the Bible and pursue personal spiritual growth. I was hungry to learn everything I could from teachings, seminars and conferences and through the help of several personal mentors; I was a full-time student in Holy Spirit University! While at UCLA I gained extensive experience in education, teaching and training, administration, computer technology, and leadership. During those years I also served in several churches as a lay leader, elder, and as a key leader in two church plants. In 1997 I was called into full-time vocational ministry and left UCLA to become a licensed Foursquare minister.
I became the Pastor of Spiritual Growth at Sonrise Christian Fellowship in Simi Valley, California, which quickly became a megachurch filled with new believers. In this position I created and taught many Bible courses and training classes, with an emphasis on the practical application of God’s Word. Also, I developed and oversaw an extensive and successful Small Groups Ministry, a Christian Adult Education program (a Bible school), a multifaceted prayer ministry, and diverse ministry teams. I also wrote several courses for the International Bible Institute which have been used around the world. In 2003, my ministry expanded outside our church as I began ministering full-time through Kingdom Partners in the southern California region. I have coached and mentored many pastors and ministry and marketplace leaders, with a gentle manner that allows for trust and openness.
Having come from a Jewish background prior to receiving Christ, and having lived, worked, studied, and traveled extensively in Israel, I often bring a fresh Hebraic perspective to my teaching. I have been married for over 45 years to Norma, and have two wonderful grown sons and two delightful granddaughters.
What else I offer
My long-term desire is to help the church (God’s people) fulfill the Great Commission. I accomplish this by giving classes, training workshops and seminars, and personal coaching. For more information, you can contact me directly.
